Filtration - Ultrafiltration

Filtration

Watera provides a full line of selective removal and absorption multimedia filters that eliminate suspended solids, inorganic pollutants like iron, manganese, arsenic, nickel, mercury, and more, as well as turbidity, odor, taste, free chlorine and chlorine byproducts, and THMs.  Selective filtration is also an effective pretreatment for other technologies such as reverse osmosis desalination.

Ultrafiltration

Ultrafiltration (UF) is a pressure-driven membrane filtration process that removes particulate matter from aqueous solutions. Ultrafiltration membranes have pore sizes typically ranging from 0.01 to 0.10 μm, allowing efficient removal of bacteria, viruses, colloids, and silt. Smaller pore sizes result in higher removal efficiency. Ultrafiltration units from Watera provide an efficient pretreatment for water recycling applications like irrigation, chillers, and reverse osmosis by filtering out contaminants and particulates.
